SHAWN MENDES: THE TOUR In December 2019, I went to the Movistar Arena with my best friend to see Shawn Mendes’ concert. I was so happy! My mom gave me the tickets for the concert on my birthday and let me choose who to go with, of course I chose one of my friends because we wanted to go to the concert together. Shawn Mendes has been my favourite artist since 2016, when he was only 18 years old. He is a Canadian musician born on August 8, 1998. He has four studio albums: Handwritten, Illuminate, Shawn Mendes, and Wonder . My favourite albums are Illuminate and Shawn Mendes because there are some of my favourite songs like Bad Reputation and Fallin’ all in you. We were nervous because our seats were unnumbered, so we arrived early but the line was long. ENGLAND One of my biggest dreams has always been to go to England because of its rich culture. Ever since I started learning English, I’ve wanted to travel to the UK, especially England. I could only get to know the country through thousands of films, and every time I watch an English film, I fall in love with its culture even more. It was English cinema that brought me closer to the other cultural aspects, such as the music (Elton John, Queen, The Beatles), and literature. Normally, English literature is associated with Harry Potter, Jane Austen, or Shakespeare, but actually, Sherlock Holmes was my first approach to English literature. Interesting facts of the country: the Chicken Tikka Masala is the national dish.
